Lotting System

  • Lotting system is attendance based and monitored by long time members. There is no written documentation or point system. If this system is abused member attendance will be recorded and scaled appropriately.

Because of the ease and high likelihood of drops in Abyssea, a Precedence system is used. You provide your two main jobs and two secondary jobs and during linkshell events players names will be called out to lot on +2 items for your main jobs, if no one in the shell needs that +2 for their main job, it will fall to a deserving player who needs it for their secondary job.

High attendance members will be looked at more in terms of what to go after on any given event. This does not mean that low attendance members will not be looked at, but rather that it will take longer for them to obtain items they are looking for.

Low attendance members are also harder to schedule events for, as it is not always certain that they will be on at any given event.

If you choose not to attend while you are online your precedence goes down on the list. Even if you are not able to complete the event, it is still preferred that you show up for part of it. If you skip a certain amount of events, your LS membership will be reviewed.

Having the Popset for a target or brewing the target does not guarantee it's drops to you, although if you donate it to the Linkshell it is appreciated. Helping out fellow members is important.

Your input on certain drops is always welcome, if you believe a player to be undeserving of an event, item let the leader of the event know and it will be considered. However this doesn't mean we all want to hear your QQ and often times QQ can put me in a bad mood, which will result in much more swearing and a severely unpleasant time. QUE QUE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

    Types of events:
-There are three types of farming, "5/5 Completion", "Wishlist" and "Empyrean" style events.

    "5/5 Completion" style:
5/5 Completion events are designed to get players main jobs 5/5 AF3+2. For this we will jump around areas and mega bosses to complete certain players +2 at a time rather than staying at one NM for the entire duration of the event. This style of event is mainly to get players full +2 AF3 gear in order to make game play easier when we go up against tougher opponents. This type of event can be random compared to Wishlist and Empyrean farming, and can be during Wishlist and Empyrean farming depending on how members deserve items.

    "Wishlist Farming"
Plain and simple, we go out and farm common interest items that are not +2 and not Empyrean Weapon items. For example if two or more members are interested in Ocelot Gloves events will be designed in favor of farming Eccentric Eve until all members with said item have it. Precedence goes to members who attend more events, but lower attendance members will be on the same list and will receive the item on their wishlist as long as they continue showing up to farm the higher attendance members items first. We will not move on to another NM or event until everyone who wants the item from said NM has it, or unless otherwise decided. This type of event will be continued until completion.

    "Empyrean" style:
The linkshell goes after NMs that specifically drop Empyrean Weapon, and or Shield/Harp, materials. In this case only certain NMs will be targeted and the Empyrean Weapon builders will not be able to lot on any of the +2 items that drop regardless of their main jobs and the main jobs of other members. The linkshell will only build three to five weapons at a time to completion (or as close as possible without aneurysms and other health complications due to incredibly annoying monsters). After the completion of these weapons we will return to a round of "Touring" style events starting in "Scars" areas and not including "Visions" areas. Members with the highest attendance are looked at for the farming of Empyrean Weapons, however lower attendance members will be considered. Members will not be allowed a second Empyrean weapon until all members willing to build one have one. If you opt out of making an Empyrean weapon the first time, it is always possible to make an application in the correct forum. This type of event will continue until up to three Emp.s are at Lv.85 stage.

These systems are subject to change at any time. The belief that less regulations on lotting is better to free up members from restrictions and overly complicated point systems. If this system is abused we will be forced to change it.
